To the editor:

Related to the current “armed teachers in local schools” topic, I figured this would be relevant as well as helpful to local teachers who might want to take advantage of this service:

Alan Wheeler, the owner of JD Armory in South Point, offers free CCW class to teachers and school personnel.

It’s always been a personal matter for him, as his mother is a teacher. The instructor, Tom Hall, also offers a multitude of advanced classes as part of his “American Agoge” training program to anyone wishing to further their firearm education.

At this time, the CCW class is for Ohio and West Virginia residents only. All other classes are available to residents of all states.
