GALLIPOLIS — A big second half and a big running game were too big for the Chesapeake Panthers.

The Gallipolis Blue Devils racked up 420 total yards including 315 on the ground as they blanked the Panthers 30-0 on Friday.

The Blue Devils led just 10-0 at the half, but the Panthers were unable to generate much offense.

Chesapeake (0-2) had 120 total yards with 103 rushing and just 17 passing. Maccoy Brown had 33 yards on 11 carries and Casey McComas 29 yards on nine attempt for the Panthers.

Eli Miller ran eight times for 122 yards and Kole Carter had 116 yards on 23 rushes and a touchdown to pace Gallipolis.

Blake Wilson added 70 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown for the Blue Devils (1-1).

Dylan Saunders 20-yard field goal gave Gallipolis a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and Miller’s 63-yard run made it 10-0 at the half.

Wilson had a 2-yard scoring run in the third quarter for a 17-0 lead and the Blue Devils added a 53-yard pass to Miller and a 3-yard touchdown run by Carter in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring.
