The Office of Student Services for Ohio University Southern will host its annual Community Block Party from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, in the Shafer Courtyard at the Ironton Campus.
“This fun-filled community celebration features live music by the Sugar Free Band, food, games, inflatables, face painting, door prizes, campus tours and more,” Shelly Betz, OUS marketing and public information officer, said. “The popular dunk tank returns for block party attendees who want to take their turn at sinking several members of OUS staff and faculty.”
The OUS community band will also perform.
The event also serves as an opportunity for the community to meet newly appointed OUS dean Dr. Nicole Pennington.
The event is free and open to the public. Call 740-533-4600 for more information.
