SOUTH POINT — On Saturday the doors to the former Staley’s Pharmacy in South Point were once again opened for business, as its new owners, Shield Roofing and Construction had its grand opening.
“It feels good to finally have it open,” Luis Escobedo, owner and operator of Shield Roofing and Construction said. “We put a lot of work into this location and now we have a nice place for people to come and do business. We’re hoping having our big showroom will help people make decisions on what exactly they want done to their homes.”
Casa Grande catered the grand opening and everyone who attended had a chance to win door prizes. It was also an opportunity for residents of South Point to get acquainted with Escobedo and his crew.
“I’d rather be out on a roof right now getting some work done,” Escobedo said smiling. “But, I understand how important things like this are. It gives me a chance to get to know the people of the community I’ll be working in and it gives them the opportunity to see what me and my business are all about as well.”
