Thelma Waddle

Thelma Mae Waddle, 75, of Coal Grove, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born May 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Thomas and Laura Collins Waddle.
Ms. Waddle attended Dawson-Bryant School, was a homemaker and was a former employee for the Marion Star Newspaper, where she worked in the newsroom and delivery. She was also a former employee of Quality Farm and Fleet and the St. Mary’s Catholic School in Marion. She enjoyed bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vada Sisler and Rita Rudman; and an infant brother and sister, Cecil and Donna.
She is survived by a son, Mark (Christina Longfellow) Waddle of Reynoldsburg; four grandchildren, Justin Clagg, Thomas Longfellow, David Longfellow, and Laura Longfellow; a great grandchild, Ethan Clagg; two sisters, Flo Evans and Margaret Waddle, both of Coal Grove; five brothers, Tommy Waddle of Coal Grove, James Waddle of Ashland, Ky., Donald Waddle of Deering, Virgil Waddle of Coal Grove, and Bob Waddle of Forestdale; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Maddy officiating. Burial will follow in Zoar Cemetery and visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Michael Stanley
Michael Ray Stanley, 60, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at home. He is survived by his wife, Belva Jean Stanley. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.  Visitation will be 1 -2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Harold Walters
Harold William Walters, 85, of Chesapeake, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va.  He is survived by his wife, Kitty Moore Walters. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.   Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Judith Ann Lucas, 71, formerly of Crown City, died on Saturday Feb. 22, 2014.
