Man gets 4 years for selling drugs

An Ashland, Ky., man got consecutive sentences after admitting to selling crack cocaine.
Vanderbilt Massey, 38, of 1312 Beverly Boulevard, pleaded guilty to two fourth-degree and two-fifth degree counts of trafficking in crack cocaine.
The indictment stated the fourth-degree counts were in the vicinity of a juvenile.
Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced the man to a total of 48 months in prison, a six-month driver’s license suspension and $8,000 in fines.
In other cases:
Rose Pinkerman, 29, of 970 Township Road 155 E., Pedro, pleaded guilty to a third-degree count of theft of a firearm.
Bowling sentenced the woman to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, 200 hours community service and she must successfully complete the program at the STAR Community Justice Center.
Devin Ross, 21, of 3123 S. Fourth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree count of receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence. A misdemeanor count of driving under suspension was dismissed.
Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS/ISP, STAR, 200 hours community service and $1,000 in restitution.
Aimee Busick, 26, of 53 Township Road 1202, Chesapeake, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to nine months in prison.
Amanda Debraga, 28, of 3420 Route 75 Apt. 13, Huntington, W.Va., admitted CCS violations. Judge Charles Cooper sentenced the woman to outpatient drug and alcohol counseling.
Gary Rice Jr., 23, of 140 Private Drive 3367, South Point, was arraigned on a second-degree count of robbery. Cooper set bond at $100,000 cash or surety and set a pretrial for Jan. 22.
Timothy Hankins, 58, of 717 Ashtabula St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to four fourth-degree counts of trafficking in drugs.
Cooper set sentencing for Feb. 5.
Jerry Hineman, 33, of Franklin Furnace, was arraigned on a third-degree count of escape, to which he pleaded not guilty. Cooper set bond at $75,000 cash or surety and set a pretrial for Jan. 22.
Christina Johnson, 36, of 517 Township Road 286, Chesapeake, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of possession of heroin. Cooper ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for Feb. 5.
