Junior Flyers win two
of three in basketball
The St. Joseph Junior Flyers opened up the season with two wins in three games.
The Flyers lost 43-33 at New Boston on Dec. 5. Clay Willis and Zach Roach scored 11 each.
Chase Walters scored 23 points as the Flyers beat Huntington St. Joseph 38-31 on Dec. 11.
Walters had 23 more points and Isaac Whaley scored 10 as the Flyers beat Portsmouth Notre Dame 54-34 on Dec. 18.

NEW BOSTON — The Chesapeake Junior Panthers 7th and 8th grade both got wins over Buffalo (W.Va.).
The 7th grade won 49-20 and the 8th grade 31-26.
