A South Point woman learned you can’t hide from the Adult Probation Agency forever — especially in a closet.

APA Chief Carl Bowen II said Tiffany Whitley, one of Lawrence County’s Most Wanted probation violators, was arrested at a home in South Point last week.

Bowen said since the 32-year-old woman’s appearance on the Most Wanted list on Dec. 9, the agency has received numerous tips by phone and even one in person at the probation office.

Officers from the APA and a sheriff’s deputy followed up on a tip that pinpointed Whitley at a home in South Point, but the owner of the home said the woman wasn’t there. That’s when the deputy heard a noise coming from upstairs.

“He (the deputy) heard something and preceded upstairs,” Bowen said. “He heard a noise in the bedroom closet and there she was.”

Bowen said the woman admitted she had been notified she had been on the Most Wanted list.

Joshua Harless, 30, last known to be living in Chesapeake. He is on probation for a failure to provide an address conviction. Jess Pinkerman, 36, last known to be living in Ironton. She is on probation for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia convictions. She failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. She is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes.

Jarod McKnight, 19, homeless. He is on probation for a burglary conviction. He failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

Jay Hutchinson, 34, last known to be living in Ironton. He is on probation for burglary and conspiracy convictions. He failed to report to the adult probation department, prompting a warrant to be issued. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
