SOUTH POINT — Due to a water line break on the South Point Water Department is advising residents on the following streets to vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking or oral hygiene:

Sixth, Seventh, Ninth, 10th, 11th, Linden, Auburn, Nelson, Park, Center, Margaret, Dean, Keith, Shannon, Washington, High, Alma and Fairview.

The South Point Water Department has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist however and is issuing this advisory as a precaution.

If no further notice is given after Sun. 11/10/13, then the samples are normal and the water is safe.
