SOUTH POINT — A South Point man is being sought by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office following a shooting Thursday night.
Timothy Powell, 42, of 227 County Road 407, is the object of the search after the prosecutor’s office obtained felony warrants.
At approximately 11 p.m. Thursday the sheriff’s office received a call that shots had been fired at a residence on County Road 407.
“When deputies arrived, they found that a residence had been shot several times while the occupants were inside their home,” according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Bullet casings were found in front of the house.
“The suspect fled the scene driving a red Honda Shadow motorcycle with an Ohio license plate #51VSD,” the release stated. “During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect had threatened and shot at other family members that day.”
Allegedly the suspect had also made threats about harming other people.
Powell is 5-foot-7, 145 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.
Authorities say he has more than one firearm with him and should be considered armed and dangerous.
