PROCTORVILLE — By changing speeds, Chandler Fulks was able to keep things the same.
Fulks allowed just two hits as the Fairland Lady Dragons blanked the Southeastern Lady Panthers 10-0 in five innings on Tuesday in the Division III sectional tournament.
Fulks struck out 10 and walked two in picking up the win.
“Chandler pitched a real good game. She hit her spots and mixed up the speed of her pitches to keep them off-balance,” said Fairland coach Joe Auxier.
Fairland (17-7) snapped a scoreless tie with five runs in the third inning.
Molly Morris beat out a bunt single and a throwing error on the play sent her to third base. Caitlin Stone walked and stole second and Fulks singled in a run.
Haley Woodall grounded out as a run scored and Chelsey Stanley’s base hit drove in a run.
Ellen Hinshaw capped the rally as she slammed the first pitch she saw for a line drive over the centerfield fence for a two-run homer.
The Lady Dragons ended the game early with five runs in the fifth.
Stanley singled, stole second and third and scored on a hit by Mackenzie Riley. Miranda Hayes was hit by a pitch, Morris walked and Stone had a two-run single.
Fulks then ended the game with a walk-off, two-run single.
Fulks went 3-4 with three runs batted in and Stanley was 3-3 with an RBI. Stone was 2-2 as the Lady Dragons had 12 hits.
Fairland will host Rock Hill on Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game and entertains River Valley on Friday at 5 p.m. in the sectional finals.
