A married couple arrested by the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force was sentenced to prison Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Danny Jones, 25, and Rachael Jones, 28, both of 223 Township Road 1186 Apt 23, South Point, pleaded guilty to second-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs and second-degree complicity to aggravated trafficking in drugs, respectively.

In exchange for their guilty pleas, charges of second-degree possession of drugs and two counts of third-degree trafficking in drugs were dismissed for Danny Jones, as well as second-degree complicity to possession of drug and third and fourth-degree trafficking drugs for Rachel Jones.

Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced each to serve five years in prison, a six-month driver’s license suspension and fines of $7,500. Two firearms and $170 in cash that were found at the time of their arrest were forfeited to the state.

In other cases:

• Robert Williams III, 55, of 2004 S. Sixth St., Ironton, was found guilty of violating his community control sanctions, which he had previously denied. After a brief trial, Bowling sentenced the man to 11 months in prison.

• Richard Graham, 31, of 414 Little Solida Road, South Point, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree aggravated possession of drugs.

Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation with four month of GPS monitoring and home confinement at his own expense. Graham must also complete outpatient drug counseling, 200 hours of community service and pay a $1,250 fine.

• Holly Ployer, 32, of 24A Private Drive 70 Township Road 1366, South Point, pleaded guilty to two fourth-degree and one third-degree counts of trafficking in drugs (oxycodone) and a fifth-degree count of trafficking in drugs (heroin).

In exchange for her guilty plea, Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson said Ployer would not be indicted on a charge of failure to appear to leaving the state while on GPS monitoring.

Bowling sentenced the woman to three years in prison, a six-month driver’s license suspension and a $5,000 fine.

• Charges against Dale Mayo, 52, of Flatwoods, Ky., were dismissed. The man was sentenced to treatment in lieu of conviction in June 2011 and was required to undergo a year of treatment with supervision by the adult probation department.

Anderson said Mayo successfully completed the program.

“Hopefully he will be able to lead a law-abiding life and this helped his addiction problem,” Anderson said before shaking the man’s hand.

• Ashley Wilson, 19, of 911 Center St., Ironton, was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of cocaine, to which she pleaded guilty.

Bowling sentenced the woman to four years CCS/ISP, 200 hours community service and successful completion of the STAR Community Justice Center program.
