State Route 217 in Lawrence County is now closed between approximately the 6.0 and 7.0-mile markers in the Linnville area due to flooding. In addition, the following routes, also in Lawrence County, remain closed today:

∙ State Route. 93, near the 10.0-mile marker in the Pedro area;

∙ State Route. 141, between the 19.0 and 21.0-mile markers near Bucks Creek Road and Etna-Waterloo Roads at Arabia;

∙ State Route 650, near the 7.0-mile marker in the Pine Grove/Kelly’s Mill Road area;

∙ State Route 650, between the 8.0 and 9.0-mile markers, south of State Route 522; and

∙ State Route 775, near the 8.0-mile marker, south of State Route 217.

These closures are anticipated to remain in effect throughout the day, and the routes are closed until further notice. Additional closures or restrictions may become necessary as creek and ditch waters continue to rise. High water may also be present at spot locations or occur quickly in areas that are subject to flash flooding.

Motorists are advised that crossing any closed route is strictly prohibited, and they are also reminded of the need for additional caution when traveling over any route which remains open but where standing water may be present. Drivers need to be especially cautious when traveling through low-lying areas that are prone to flash flooding, avoiding these routes when possible.
