PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redmen had things going their way.
Then Javon Thompson and Nick Duffield got things going the other way.
Rock Hill held a one-point halftime lead, but Thompson and Duffield got the Chesapeake offense going and the Panthers rallied in the second half for a 46-26 Ohio Valley Conference win on Friday.
“We controlled the game in the first half. We mixed up our defenses well. But they came out the third quarter and hit some shots,” said Rock Hill coach Dave Hopper.
With Rock Hill lead 14-13 at the half, Duffield hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 9 points and Thompson also made a pair of treys as Chesapeake outscored Rock Hill 18-4 to take a 31-18 lead.
Thompson scored 14 points to lead the Panthers (8-4, 4-1).
Austin Collins had 7 points and 5 rebounds, Evan Morris scored 7 points and Joey Stidham came up with 4 steals for the Redmen (2-9, 0-5).
