Rape — Sunset Nursing Center, Marion Pike, 4:56 p.m. Saturday, elderly resident alleged she was raped while in her room, resident thought it happened July 9, resident taken to King’s Daughters Medical Center for evaluation, rape kit to be done by Hope’s Place, center and resident’s daughter said residence suffers from dementia and confuses facts and time.

Burglary, theft — 100 block Lane Street, 4:30 p.m. Friday, garage broken into and weedeater taken.

Theft, breaking and entering — 600 block High Street, 1 p.m. Thursday, storage unit at Stanley Storage broken into, locks taken, washer and dryer taken.
