The I-Town Pre-National Showcase basketball tournament will be held July 6-8 at Ironton High School.

The tournament has four divisions for boys and girls: third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and sixth grade. Teams are guaranteed three games minimum with pool play on Friday and Saturday and a single elimination tournament on Sunday.

Entry fee is $200. Awards will be given to first and second place teams along with an all-tournament team and MVP awards.

Game format is 16-minute halves for grades five and six and 14-minute halves for grades three and four. There will be a running clock except on timeouts, free throws and the last two minutes of each half.

All Teams must have reversible jerseys or light and dark jerseys.

Licensed officials will be used.

Admission is $5 per entry or a complete tournament pass for $20.

Hotel accommodations are available at the Ashland Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, 1441 Winchester Ave., Ashland, Ky., or Best Western River Cities, 31 Russell Plaza Drive, Ashland, Ky. Rooms are $80 per night plus tax at the Ashland Plaza (606-329-0055) and $77 per night plus tax at Best Western (606-326-0357) if you mention your participation in the I-Town Pre-National Showcase.
