Three men are behind bars today, charged in connection with an incident early Saturday morning at The Fuzzy Duck at the Center Street Boat landing.
Ty Depriest, 20, of 1766 County Road 48, Waterloo, Matthew Depriest, 25, of 795 Township Road 155E, Pedro, and Brian Sharp, 20, of 795 Township Road 155E Pedro, were all charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the Lawrence County Jail.
According to the report, officers were sent to The Fuzzy Duck in regards to the call of a man on the ground. When they arrived they discovered three men fighting on the boat ramp.
“I arrived on the scene, I heard Sgt. (Brian) Pauley telling the subjects to stop fighting several times,” Patrolman John Hammonds said in his report. “Sgt. Pauley advised the subjects if they wouldn’t stop fighting he was going to mace them.” After twice ordering the three men to stop fighting, mace was used and, according to Hammons’ report, he had to physically pull the men apart.
Once at the jail, Ty Depriest was allegedly placed in a restraint chair due to his continued disorderliness; Matthew Depriest was placed in the drunk tank and Sharp was taken to the booking area. All three men made appearances in Ironton Municipal Court Monday afternoon.
