CHESAPEAKE — First-degree rape and unlawful restraint were charges that brought a South Point man to Lawrence County Municipal Court Friday.
William C. Igo III, 19, of 108 Mason St., was arraigned by Judge Donald Capper, who set bond at $200,000 cash, surety or property. Capper appointed attorney Warren Morford to represent Igo.
Assistant Lawrence County Prosecutor Brigham Anderson said the victim was a 14-year-old girl who was treated at a local hospital after the alleged incident, which occurred at a residence in South Point.
Igo must return to court Monday for a preliminary hearing.
