It started out at the Ashland Town Center across the river in Kentucky; after more than a decade in Coal Grove, CJT’s has found a new home at 1007 N. Second St. in Ironton.
Josh Wheeler, whose family owns the printing business, said the move over the Christmas/ New Year holiday has given the business room to continue to grow.
“We’re going from a showroom of 400 square feet to 1,200,” Wheeler said.
The move will also allow them to own, and not lease a building.
“It’s formatted better; there’s more open area,” Wheeler said.
CJT’s will still offer customized printing for caps, jackets and T-shirts, but more than that, the new facility will allow CJT’s to move into new territory: The Wheelers are adding trophies and other awards to their product lineup, along with web marketing and development. Wheeler said he hopes also to offer social media marketing to other businesses.
“We want to offer other things to help other businesses,” Wheeler said. “There’s a big need to know how to go about getting listed, to get their word out online.”
Wheeler said the family is considering adding a Buckeye Corner that would offer licensed Ohio State clothing and other gear. CJT’s already has a license with Marshall University for such.
Wheeler said while the business is already operating in its new location, an official ribbon cutting is planned for later on.
