BEAVER — The Eastern Eagles jumped out to a 15-point first half lead and went on to beat the Symmes Valley Vikings 63-35 on Friday in a Southern Ohio Conference game.

“It was the same old story. They shot the ball really well the first half. They have two nice shooters,” said Vikings’ coach Jerome Fuller.

“We did a nice job defending in the second half but we couldn’t make a layup. We have to be able to convert on the offensive end.”
