Warren Dean
Warren (Buss) Dean Jr., 85, of Deering, 85 died at home Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011.
The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 12, 1926, the son of the late Warren Dean Sr. and Dorotha Morris Dean. He was the husband of Betty Pinkerman Dean. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School. He was a retired electrician from the former Allied Chemical Barrett Division, now Honeywell. Prior to his illness he was an active member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. He held the office of deacon until his illness. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Mark A. Dean and his wife Pamela (Allen) Dean; one grandson, Mark J. Dean and his wife Jill (Allen) Dean; one granddaughter, Kristin N. Dean; and a loving brother, Ralph Dean of Ironton. Other relatives include Steve and Cirilda Dean, Lisa Potter, Debbie Schweickart, Stevi and Michael Wood and Alexis Wood and Ayden Wood. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-laws.
He was preceded in death by five brothers-in-laws.
Funeral will be noon Wednesday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Vanmeter and Ken Klaiber officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Wednesday before the funeral. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. VFW 8850 will perform military graveside rites. Brenda Lafferty
ASHLAND, Ky. — Brenda Dianne Greene Lafferty of Ashland, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Preston Family Funeral Home by Brother Sheldon Wheeler and Brother Dale Henson. Burial will be in Henson Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today.
