Jimmie and JoAnn Whitehead of, Chesapeake, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Oct. 14, 1961.

Jimmie is the son of the late Elmer and Myrtle Whitehead. JoAnn is the daughter of the late Harley and Naomi Finch. Jimmie is retired from Dow Chemical. They have one daughter Alicia Ann and her husband Chris Beal, of Chesapeake, and one grandson, Stephen Beal, of Huntington, W.Va.
