Philip Gene Kline, 70, of Ironton, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky., after a long battle with cancer.

He was born June 14, 1941 the son of the late Lawrence William and Jennie Ethel Ferrell Kline.

He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

He is survived by his loving companion, Debbie Perry of Ironton; three daughters, Gretchen (Monroe) Kline-Dowling of Columbus, Adrianne (John) Dubins of Louisville, Ky., and Heidi (Jeff) Daniel of Raleigh, N. C.; three sisters, Sharen (Eddie) McKee, Ruth Bush and Nancy Webb and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Kloha officiating. Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
