Two of only 51 to be called “innovative,” get money
ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP — Two Rock Hill Elementary teachers have gotten a Podcasting For Assessment mini-grant from the eTech Ohio.
Joanna Gannon and John Stevens are two of only 51 educators awarded the grant that is designed to individualize learning through technology. Teachers and students will produce podcasts on math, science and other subjects for grades 1-12.
“ETech congratulates these innovative teachers for integrating podcasting into their activities and providing creative ways to engage students’ interest and curiosity through the use of technology,” Kate Harkin, executive director of eTech Ohio said.
Gannon and Stevens will use the grant to purchase IPads to use with students.
