Community support makes our county special

I would like to take this opportunity, being a member of The Outreach Team at Greater Faith Apostolic Church, to speak out on behalf of our Relay Team “Greater Faith For life” who participated in the Lawrence County Relay For Life.
This was our first Relay to participate in. And if it is the Lord’s will for us to be there next year, then we will be there.
I saw so much love and support flowing, and people reaching out to help one another. Cancer is no respecter of person, and it never sleeps, but if we keep praying and working hard together to find a cure, then I believe it will come.
I am so proud to be a citizen of Lawrence County because everyone pitches in and when it comes to lending a helping hand, you can count on them to help.
And I believe that is what God wants us to do, help our family, friends, neighbors and our communities.
We would like to thank the following business who sponsored our team and those who gave personal donations. Each and every one of you are greatly appreciated.
They are: Stephens & Son Insurance, L&J Dairy Bar, Spice of Life, Staley’s Pharmacy, The Silver Dollar Farm, Coal Grove Freezette, Community Home Health, Coal Grove Giovannis, Ironton Giovannis, Sunset Nursing Home, Don Guy, Cyndi’s Dance Studio, River Cities Motors, Glitters, Patrick Insurance, R&W Rentals, Brown Funeral Chapel and River City Wireless.
On behalf of my team, thank you and may God bless you all

All must believe cure can be found for cystic fibrosis
I would like to take the opportunity to express my thanks to all, who at the Memorial Day Parade, took a moment of their time to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides fundraiser.
Special thanks also to the AmVets of Ironton for allowing “Team Zion” to set up in front of their post. The winner of the gas grill raffle was Sarah Clevenger.
Again, thank you all for supporting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Great Strides. In the future, let us make CF stand for “Cure Found.”
