Castle-Herman

In a lakeside gazebo ceremony, Lauren Ashley Castle became the bride of David Matthew Herman at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, 2010. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s father, Rev. Glen Herman, at Claytor Lake State Park in Dublin, Va. The beautiful autumn ceremony was followed by a reception at The Water’s Edge.

The bride is daughter of Garry and Debbie Castle of Ironton. Lauren is also the granddaughter of the late Edward McClellan and the late Lena McClellan of Ironton and Ruth Castle of Ironton. The groom is the son of Rev. Glen and Jane Herman of Wellston. David is also the grandson of Helen Hufford and the late Dean Hufford of Pulaski, Va., and Marjorie Herman and the late Richard Herman of Centerville.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Ironton High School, a 2009 graduate of Ohio University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, and a 2011 graduate of Liberty University, where she earned a master’s degree in teaching and learning, elementary education. The bride is a teacher at Davenport Community Schools in Davenport, Iowa. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Wellston High School and a 2009 graduate of Berea College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and sports medicine. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

The couple honeymooned in Sedona, Ariz. and now reside in Davenport, Iowa.
