Good Samaritan keeps motorist out of water
Published 9:45 am Friday, April 29, 2011
On Friday evening April 22, I was coming home from Ironton and ran into high water without knowing it was there. It was very high.
A lady behind me stopped to see if I was OK. She told me she knew where the water was usually over and told me to follow her.
She tapped on her brakes when we got to the water. I don’t know her name but I greatly appreciate her help.

Close Up program offers one-of-a-kind experience
I am writing this letter to tell you about a trip that I wish everyone could experience. The trip is called Close Up and you can experience it through your school if it gives you the chance.
You get the opportunity to travel to Washington, D. C. and experience a wide variety of things.
You get to travel all around to the city, see monuments, learn about issues in your country, meet new people and just have a really great time.

It is definitely a trip of a lifetime and I wish everyone could have this experience. If not with Close Up, still come to the city to experience it! It was so great!
