The Ironton Fighting Tigers’ tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to the Lucasville Valley Indians on Wednesday.

No. 1 singles players Andrew Hicks picked up Ironton’s lone win as he beat Nick Johnson 6-2, 7-6 (10-8).

Ironton’s Jordan Sheridan fell in three to Caleb Andronis, 1-6, 7-5, 1-6 while Nathan Hale dropped an 0-6, 0-6 match to Scott Adkins.

In doubles play, Mason Weisgarber and Tres Wilks lost 1-6, 6-4, 2-6 to Adam Davis and Adam Buckles while Schylar Fields and Jon Shotsky fell 3-6, 2-6 to Derreck Lute and Nate Alderfer.
