Thelma Clutters

BIDWELL — Thelma Lenore Neal Clutters, 88, of Bidwell, passed away Monday, April 4, 2011, at Abby Shire Place in Bidwell. The Marion native was born July 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Thomas M. and Nola L. Williams Neal.

Mrs. Clutters was a graduate of Kitts Hill High School. She was a former cook for the Dawson-Bryant School System and Andis Elementary, retiring in 1982. In 1999 she was awarded the Golden Sheaf Certificate for 50 years of Grange membership and was the oldest member of Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merrill Corbin; her second husband, Edward Clutters; and a son, Thomas V. Clutters.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Merrill Keith and Sue Corbin of Gallipolis;

a sister, Pauline Neal Brammer; two grandchildren: Brian and Amy Corbin of Gallipolis and Lisa Corbin Colley of Bellefontaine; and four great grandchildren, Bailie and Kelsey Corbin and Justin and Lindsey Colley.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Leatherwood-Williams Hill Cemetery with Rev. Don Comer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1-2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
