Myrtle (Lewis) Gettys

SPRINGFIELD — Myrtle (Lewis) Gettys, 76, of Springfield, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011. She was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Ironton, the daughter of the late John and Anna Belle (Rowe) Lewis. Survivors include her children, Rae Ann (John) Howe, Terri Martin, Donna (Paul) Ream and Tammy (Steve) Rust, all of Springfield; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Yates of Marion and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandchildren, Stephanie Howe and Kyle Ream; brothers, Miles, Ed and Fred Lewis; sisters, Juanita Fraley, Margaret Kimble, Ruby Murnahan, Gertrude Matney and Bertha Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
