Ironton Fighting Tigers’ boys’ district basketball tournament tickets are on sale for $6 at the Ironton auto tech shop building and at Bob Linn Sporting Goods.

Ironton plays Wheelersburg at 5 p.m. Saturday in the district finals at Ohio University.

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance. The school receives only 25 percent of the presale and nothing from sales at the area.

Hammer offering special tickets deals for fans

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Huntington Hammer arena football team has special ticket offers.

An X-Factor deal has four sideline or family fun zone tickets for any regular season home game for $44 and includes coupons for four popcorn and four small drinks plus four of the following choices: slice of pizza, small cheese fries or small nachos and cheese.

There are also a limited number of sideline or Grid Iron season tickets available at half price.

District 13 all-star game March 21 at Jackson

The Ohio High School District 13 Basketball Coaches Association will host its annual senior all-star game on Monday, March 21, at Jackson High School.

The girls’ game begins at 6 p.m. with the boys’ game to follow.

Admission is $5.

Portsmouth to host

annual coaches clinic

PORTSMOUTH — The Touchdown Club at Portsmouth High School will host its 15th annual football coaches clinic Saturday at Portsmouth High School.

The coaches social will start at 8 p.m. Friday at the Welcome Center in Portsmouth. The clinic will be on Saturday.

The cost of the clinic includes a pizza/wings/bar-b-cue buffet at the social and a ribs and wings buffet for lunch after the clinic.

There will be 11 speakers at the clinic. Keynote speaker is Greg Gillum of Ohio State who will give the presentation, “Recruiting High School Athletes: Perception vs. Reality.”

Cost is $40 per coach or $150 for a staff up to six and $200 for seven or more.
