Do you know an ‘Unsung Hero?’
Published 8:30 pm Saturday, January 29, 2011
Has someone you know gone above and beyond the call of duty? Do you know someone whose love and support have helped their families and communities? Does a friend or neighbor standout from others while never seeking attention?
The Tribune wants you to tell us about that person so we can give them the recognition they deserve.
Part of what makes individuals like these special is that they are “Unsung Heroes,” truly selfless human beings who put others first.
As we do every year, The Tribune will feature a handful of your nominations in our annual Profile edition, which will be published Feb. 27.
A nomination form will be printed multiple times in the next few days or you can simply write or type it out and send it to us.
Nominations must be submitted by Monday, Feb. 7.
Those submitting nominations must include his or her name, address and phone number for verification purposes. If the nominator requests,we will protect their identity. Individuals may nominate as many people as they like.
This year’s format will be different from the past and will give us the opportunity to feature those we select with full color photographs.
Profile is our best publication each year, showcasing many of the people, places and things that make our region so special. Our community’s “Unsung Heroes” are a big part of that and we need your help making sure their praises are, in fact, sung.
