HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — St. Mary’s Medical Center has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). MRI is a non-invasive medical test that utilizes magnetic fields to produce anatomical images of internal body parts to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.
“St. Mary’s has always offered exceptional patient care and this is just another example of our dedication to quality and service,” Fred Kirby, director of radiology at St. Mary’s, said.
“Our MRI department is proud to have achieved this recognition and wants to assure patients that they will continue to receive the best possible care at St. Mary’s.”
