Assault — Private Drive 926, Ironton, Nov. 19, woman alleges that her grandson’s mother threw rocks at her, hitting her in the head and back. Suspect named.

Juvenile offenses, aggravated menacing — State Route 243, Chesapeake, Nov. 19, woman alleges threatened because she spoke as a witness in juvenile court. Juvenile suspect named.

Theft of a motor vehicle — Veteran’s Square, Ironton, Nov. 19, man reports that a car he purchased from a dealer in Huntington, W.Va. was stolen from New Jersey and that he found out when he attempted to transfer the vehicle’s title. Camden, N.J. police confirm.

Petty theft — Township Road 299, Chesapeake, Nov. 27, woman alleges that someone stole her ring.

Domestic violence — Private Drive 350, South Point, Nov. 27, woman alleges that her daughter was screaming at her child and was out of control. Melanie M. Nease, 49, of 40 Private Drive 359, South Point, arrested and taken to jail.

Impersonating a peace officer — 100 block of Hogsett Hollow, Hanging Rock, Nov. 28, Woman alleges that a white male knocked on her door at midnight and said he was investigating robberies from Hanging Rock to Coal Grove. The man allegedly refused to show ID and then left when she said she was calling the police.

Violating a protection order, menacing – 1600 block of Township Road 179, Ironton, Nov. 28, woman alleges that her husband, whom she is divorcing, keeps calling her and sending her text messages. The man has also allegedly threatened the woman’s parents.

Assault — Lawrence County Jail, two inmates allegedly hit and kicked another inmate. Jeffrey L. Crisp, of 623 Cliff St., Ironton, and Stewart D. Sherman, of 2146 County Road 55, Coal Grove, charged with assault.

Trouble — 800 block of South 10th Street, 1:13 a.m. Sunday, woman said her daughter was being held against her will. Verbal dispute, will move on.

Stolen vehicle — 2400 block of South Fourth Street, 3:04 a.m. Sunday, Woman alleges her car was taken by her cousin. Vehicle was returned. Party advised.

Trouble — 1500 block of South Third Street, 3:09 a.m. Sunday, man alleges there are two men fighting. Subjects left prior to arrival, will attempt to locate.

Suspicious vehicle — Neal between Sixth and Seventh streets, 4:35 a.m. Sunday, man said a vehicle is sitting there with its lights on. Subject waiting for a friend, advised.

Trouble — 2700 Block of South Eighth Street, 1:02 p.m. Sunday, call from Greenup 911 said a man is fighting with someone.

Burglary — 700 block of South Sixth Street, 4:50 p.m. Sunday, caller said someone was in her house and took several things. Information for report.

Drunk pedestrian — 1100 block of South Third Street, Apartment C, 5:40 p.m., female allegedly falling down while walking across Ironton-Russell Bridge to Kentucky. Negative contact.

Traffic hindrance — South Third Street, 7:44 p.m. Sunday, man in motorized wheelchair allegedly driving in the middle of the road. Negative contact.

Trouble — 1100 block of South Seventh Street, 10:45 p.m. Sunday, man reports his neighbors are yelling and fighting. Checked area, negative contact.
