Larry Webb

Larry G. Webb, 62, of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at his residence.

The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 3, 1948, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Rice Webb.

Mr. Webb was a graduate of South Point High School. He received his degree in business from Marion Technical College, where he taught Quality Control Engineering. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former Quality Control Engineer with the Mid South Electronics Company and the Whirlpool Co. in Marion. He attended the God’s Holiness Mission.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Webb, Tom Webb, and Kermit Webb; and a sister, Zelda Campbell.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry “Scott” Webb of Richwood and Andrew T. and Kris Webb of Larue; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Stacy Simpson of Delaware; two brothers, Keith Webb of Haverhill and Kenneth Webb of South Point; two sisters, Hattie Cochran and Alice Kay Webb, both of Marion; a fiancée, Cynthia Wade of Ironton; four grandchildren, Samuel Webb, Maddy Simpson, Kennedy Simpson and McKinley Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Chaffins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens with graveside military rites by the VFW Post 8850. Friends may call Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
