Reds ink Cairo

CINCINNATI (AP) — Utility player Miguel Cairo is staying with the Cincinnati Reds, who gave him a two-year deal.
Cairo was a valuable player off the bench for the Reds as they won the NL Central last season. He batted .290 and made 38 starts at third base, first base, second base and right field.
During his 15-year career, Cairo has played every position except center field and catcher.
Cairo is a career .267 hitter with Toronto, the Cubs, Tampa Bay, St. Louis, the Yankees, the Mets, Seattle, Philadelphia and Cincinnati.
