HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — November is Military Appreciation Month at Charlie’s Harley-Davidson in Huntington.

In order to honor all military and veterans, Charlie’s will be holding a Military Appreciation Day at the dealership Saturday.

Post 433 of the American Legion will be performing a ceremony at 1 p.m., including the playing of taps, a POW-MIA presentation, a flag-folding ceremony, and a 21-gun salute. Beginning at 2 p.m., a special buffet dinner will be provided by Charlie’s Diner for military, veterans, and their families.

Everyone is encouraged to stop by Charlie’s Harley-Davidson and sign the H-D flag in the showroom to send to a military troop currently serving overseas.

Postcards are also available to be filled out and sent to soldiers and veterans at home and abroad.

Military and veterans are encouraged to bring in their military IDs for a free gift from Charlie’s (while supplies last), along with their military photo to be displayed in our showroom for the month of November.

For any customer who purchases a motorcycle from Charlie’s during the month of November, Charlie’s will send a care package in the customer’s name to a soldier serving overseas.

“Military Appreciation Day is just a small way that the staff at Charlie’s Harley-Davidson and I can acknowledge the sacrifice that both our active military and veterans have made for the freedom we enjoy in this great country,” said Charlie Cole, owner of Charlie’s.
