to be raffled
Ironton in Bloom and the Ironton Tiger Clan athletic booster club have teamed up for a fundraiser. The group will be raffling two tickets for the Michigan at Ohio State game.
There are only 500 tickets available for a $10 donation price. Tickets will be sold at Ironton’s home game Friday or by contacting Jan Wolfe at (740) 532-1030 or Jay Zornes at (740) 533-7000. Tickets are also available from members of Ironton in Bloom and the Tiger Clan.
Proceeds will be shared between the groups. The Ironton in Bloom plans to help pay for this summer’s downtown floral display and newly planted pansies. The Tiger Clan share goes toward efforts to raise $7,500 worth of scholarships for Ironton student/athletes this year.
Drawing will be Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the City Center. Persons need not be present to win.
Dinner planned for
York/Mayo Fund
PROCTORVILLE — A spaghetti dinner will be held to benefit the Cark York-Jim Mayo Scholarship Fund that benefits two graduating seniors each year.
The dinner will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the Fairland Middle School. Guest speakers will be Donald Capper and Allen Miller who both played for Mayo and York and will offer some insight to their careers.
Tables of eight chairs are $250 while individual tickets are $25.
