COAL GROVE — The Lady Hornets got out the brooms again.

The Coal Grove Lady Hornets took a three-game sweep over the Portsmouth East Lady Tartans Monday in a non-league volleyball match.

The Lady Hornets won the match 25-9, 25-20, and 25-16.

Haley Johnson led Coal Grove with 15 points and 10 kills on the night while Bailey Harrison had 14 points and 7 kills.

In the reserve game, Coal Grove won in straight set 25-9, 25-13. Katey Erwin scored 15 points and Shelby Haynes 13 to lead the Lady Hornets.
