The husband and co-defendant of an Ironton police dispatcher will spend five years in prison for drug-related charges, Judge D. Scott Bowling ruled in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Gregory White, of 244 Delaware St, Ironton, pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated drug trafficking and one count of complicity to aggravated drug trafficking. Bowling sentenced White to five years in prison and a total fine of $20,000. White’s driver’s license will be suspended two years and he is ordered to pay court costs.
Bowling modified White’s bond to $1,000 of his own recognizance and ordered him to report to jail Sept. 30.
White’s wife and co-defendant, Tina White, also of 244 Delaware St., Ironton, has pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated drug trafficking and three counts of complicity to aggravated drug trafficking. A pretrial hearing for Tina White is set for Oct. 11.
Also in court Wednesday, Craig Riggle, of 547 County Road 128, Hanging Rock, was sentenced to five years in prison for three counts of gross sexual imposition and three counts of public indecency. Riggle, 36, is also required to register as a sex offender for the next 25 years.
Corina L. Kouns, 31, of 4339 County Road 29, Ironton, pleaded guilty to complicity to burglary and two counts of complicity to drug theft. Kouns and a co-defendant who has not been apprehended were charged invading a home. Kouns was apologetic when she addressed the court.
“If I had it to do over I wouldn’t have done it,” she said. “This is a very humbling experience.”
