IRONTON — A presentation on illegal prescription drug abuse awareness will be held on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Mains Rotunda at Ohio University Southern in Ironton.

Presenters scheduled are Dr. Dan Bentley, doctor of pharmacy, FACA, adjunct faculty at Ohio University Southern. In his presentation, Generation Rx Initiative, sponsored by the Ohio State University, Bentley will educate the community of the types and severity of illegal prescription drug use.

The community will be taught how to handle and help with the increasing issue of illegal prescription drug abuse.

Tim Sexton, commander of the Lawrence County Drug and Major Crime Task Force, will also speak on our local drug force. The event is free and open to the public.
