SPRINGFIELD — Marcella Alma “Sally” Fisher, 93, of Springfield, formerly of Ironton, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Forest Glen Health Campus in Springfield. The Wellston native was born Aug. 12, 1916, the daughter of the late John W. and Alma Lindauer Leach. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Screech” Fisher, who died Aug. 23, 2009. Sally was a graduate of Ironton High School and was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Ironton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by son, John “Jack” Fisher; two brothers, Glen Leach and Walter Leach; and a sister, Leola Bailey. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Katie Fisher of West Liberty; a daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Jim Billiar of Columbus; a brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Joseph and Sarah Leach of Columbus; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be noon Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Rev. Todd Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
