PROCTORVILLE — It’s getting close to two decades for the Village of Proctorville to have its annual spring rummage sale.

“We have done this for several years where we just get everyone in town to get all their stuff out and sell it,” Pam Legg, administrative assistant for the village. “After the sale, we have a dumpster where they can throw away.”

This year the event will be Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Throughout the village homeowners will hold their individual rummage sales with the overall goal of having a spring-cleaning.

Anything not sold can be tossed in the village-supplied dumpster. The event has been going on for 17 years.

“People park at one end and walk through town,” Legg said. “All through town every street has sales. It is a big day for us.”

Besides individuals selling concessions, there will also be a couple of non-profits offering food and drink.
