Ironton sewer work slated to continue this week

Despite the heavy rain over the weekend, work on Ironton’s sewer system will continue this week.
Crews plan to re-line the sewer in several areas in Ironton over the next few days.
In addition to the sewer lining, workers will continue manhole rehabilitation between Ellison Street and Orchard Street in North Ironton and sewer cleaning on Third Street between Walnut Street and Mastin Avenue.
In areas where the sewer is being re-lined, residents may experience an odor.
To dissipate the smell, pouring water into the lowest drain of the house may help. Residents can also place a damp towel over the opening of the drain and open their windows.
The sewer project schedule for this week is as follows:
Manhole Rehabilitation

Sewer Cleaning
