Real hard.

The Redmen used some hard-hitting to bang out 11 hits en route to a 12-0 five inning win over the Titans.

“That’s one of the best hitting games we’ve had,” said Rock Hill coach Barry Litteral. “We hit the ball hard everywhere. Even the outs were hard.”

Alex Bare went 3-3 with a triple to lead the assault. Devin Darby was 2-2 with a pair of doubles and Drew Kidd was 2-4.

Ryan Hackworth went four innings to get the win before Jonathan Schob finished up. They combined for six strikeouts, no walks and only two hits.

“That was one of our most complete games we’ve played. We hit the ball well, we threw well and we played good defense,” said Litteral.

Kidd reached on an error, Schob walked, Jeremy Blagg had an RBI single and Darby a run-scoring double to give Rock Hill a 2-0 first inning lead.

Singles by Bare and Kidd and a wild pitch pushed the lead to 3-0 in the second inning.

The Redmen scored five times in the third inning to lead 8-0.

Blagg walked, Darby doubled and Shane Russell hit a sacrifice fly. Matt Jenkins singled home a run, Bare followed with a hit and then Kidd had an RBI single and Schob a two-run double.

Four more runs scored in the fourth inning when Blagg and Darby walked, Russell reached on an error for a run, Bare tripled in two and Josh Malone singled in the final run.

Rock Hill (8-4) plays at Coal Grove Monday.
