ROME TOWNSHIP — Rome Township will again be having its cleanup day at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
The event will be May 1 beginning around 8 a.m. On that day, dumpsters will be set up at the fairgrounds to allow township residents to dump anything except batteries, paint and tires, Trustee Charles Fuller said.
“(Residents) probably ought to bring their drivers license or something like that to show their address,” Fuller said.
Last year’s event was popular, Fuller said.
“Last year we used 16 large dumpsters, he said. “We had to use two companies last year to get enough dumpsters. We probably will this year too.”
Rome Township Cleanup day will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.
