COAL GROVE —Myrtle Fields, 91, of Coal Grove, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at a local health care facility.
She was born Oct.12, 1918, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late John and Essie Lyons Murray. Myrtle was a faithful member of Arabia Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Austin Fields; one daughter, Janice Sue Robinson; one sister, Alka Griffith; and one granddaughter, Kylie Sue Fields.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Fields of South Point; one brother, Frank Murray of Ironton; one sister, May Combs of Chillicothe; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild
A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, Ironton, with Pastor Ron Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
