SOUTH POINT — Garnet Elizabeth Morrison, 84, of South Point, widow of Robert H. Morrison passed away Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
She was born March 8, 1925 in Huntington. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Burgess and Lily Mays Stewart; a son, Robert E. Morrison; two brothers, Harland and Fredrick Stewart; and grandson, Robert Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, Gary R. (Bertha) Morrison of South Point; Donald L. (Jackie) Morrison of Columbus; two daughters, Loretta (Mike) Johnson of South Point, Ohio; Diana L. Allen of South Point; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Josselyn, Robert J. Morrison, Alicia Morrison, Samantha Morrison, Alice Johnson, Laura Garish, Andrea Smith, David Allen, Kaylee Allen and Lyndsey Delawder; great grandchildren Robert Brown, Ryan Brown, Skylar Morrison, Abbygayle Garish, Isaiah Smith, Alexis Smith, Tayshaun Fox, Isabella Josselyn, Keira Morrison; one sister, Anna Lester of Rio Grande; and one brother, Charles Stewart of Huntington.
She was a member of The Gospel Chapel Church, Charley Creek Road, South Point.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor David Poplin. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens South Point.
