DAVID COLYER

David L. Colyer, 62, of Ironton passed away Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. He was born July 9, 1947 in Somerset, Ky., the son of the late William H. and Helen Ritter Colyer.
He worked at Liebert Corporation as a sheet metal worker and in the paint shop for nine years. He was a member of the Christ Temple Church in Huntington and graduated from Somerset High School. He also attended the University of Kentucky and was a volunteer for Hospice.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ross Colyer whom he married July 23, 1969; a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Candy Colyer of Ashland, Ky; a daughter, Melissa Colyer of Coal Grove; six grandchildren, Tessa Colyer, Brennan Colyer, David Colyer, Elizabeth Colyer, Abigail Cade and Daniel Cade; a siste, Rebecca Wilson of Jamestown, Ky; and two brothers: Larry Colyer and Martin Colyer both of Somerset, Ky.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with Greg Wirzfeld officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery and friends may call 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www. phillipsfuneralhome.net.
