RUTH O’KEEFE

SOUTH POINT — Ruth E. O’Keefe, 80, of South Point, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at a local health care center. The Ironton native was born July 23, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Tressa Jenkins Delong. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. O’Keefe.
Mrs. O’Keefe attended Ironton Schools and was a nurse’s aide for 25 years at Lawrence County General Hospital and a member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church in Ironton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Inez McLaughlin, Elizabeth Gray and Rosemary Lipker;
a brother, Charles Edward Delong, Jr.; and a granddaughter: Lyndi O’Keefe.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Bonnie O’Keefe of South Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dale Dixon of Ironton; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
